Book Illustrations

Cassius Coolidge illustrated several books. Two of them, The Independence Day Horror at Killsbury and Prophet of Peace, were written by his first cousin Asenath Coolidge. They were published in 1905 and 1907, respectively. Coolidge also illustrated The Wonderful Electric Elephant and Under Mad Anthony’s Banner, both published in 1903. Because of their publication date, all these books are in the public domain, which allows me to freely reprint their illustrations.

I am not much of a bookworm so I have not actually read these books, but just looked at the pictures. There are not any dogs playing poker, but the illustrations are still well done and interesting.
